Both USA Rugby CEO DAN PAYNE and CHAD KECK, Chair of the NGB's for-profit marketing arm Rugby Int'l Marketing (RIM), are leaving their positions. Payne will stay on until after the Rugby World Cup Sevens, which the U.S. is hosting in S.F. in July. Keck is stepping down from the RIM board immediately, and Payne will replace him in the chairman position until he leaves this summer. Keck will remain a board member of USA Rugby. USA Rugby has hired RSR Partners to lead the search for a new CEO (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).

EXECS: USA Triathlon High Performance GM ANDY SCHMITZ has resigned after seven years leading the organization's top-level teams. His tenure included the U.S.' first Gold Medal and second overall in the sport, GWEN JORGENSON's victory at the '16 Rio Games (Fischer)....ISE Baseball promoted Senior Counsel SCOTT PEARSON to VP/Business & Legal Affairs (ISE)....The National Basketball Retired Players Association took the interim tag off of SCOTT ROCHELLE's role as CEO. The NBRPA BOD also elected SPENCER HAYWOOD Chair and added JOHNNY DAVISSAM PERKINS, and JEROME WILLIAMS. Rochelle began working with the NBRPA in '13 (NBRPA)....The Univ. of Richmond named UNC-Greensboro Assistant AD/Strategic Communications MATT MCCOLLESTER Assistant AD/Communications (Richmond)....Sports & entertainment firm Nolan Partners named ANDREW MOSS Global Head of Media & Entertainment (Nolan Partners).
