Montreal-based Sports Crescent store manager Enrique Santana said that because of the poor performance by the Canadiens this season, sales at the clothing store are down 70% from years when the team was "playing well." The Canadiens have the third-fewest points in the Eastern Conference, and in Montreal, Jacob Serebrin notes Santana has "marked down Canadiens merchandise" -- much of it by 25-30%. Jerseys with Canadiens LW Max Pacioretty’s name and number are 50% off, as are "plain jerseys." Meanwhile, P.K. Subban "may have been traded" to the Predators in June '16, but his jerseys "still sell" (MONTREAL GAZETTE, 3/1).

GRINDING AWAY: BLEACHER REPORT's Danny Knobler noted a 1-pound coffee package for Indians 2B Jose Ramirez is "on sale for $13.50 from the Cleveland Coffee Company." The Jose! Jose! comes with a picture of Ramirez "on the package." At a game before the '17 All-Star Game at Progressive Field, some fans got a "free pack which Ramirez handed out himself." Cleveland Coffee Company Owner Brendan Walton said that since then, orders for Jose! Jose! coffee have "come in from 10 states, from as far away as Vermont and California." Indians fans are also buying "any number of quirky Ramirez T-shirts." One reads, "When the boogeyman goes to sleep, he checks the closet for Jose Ramirez" (BLEACHERREPORT.com, 2/27).
