USL Las Vegas Lights Reveal Home Jersey Design, Primary Sponsors

USL expansion club Las Vegas Lights FC yesterday unveiled their home jersey that features locally based shoe and apparel retailer Zappos.com "displayed prominently on the front, along with the Lights logo," according to Alan Snel of LVSPORTSBIZ.com. Local car dealership Findlay Toyota "has the corporate sponsor presence" on the back of the jerseys. More than 600 "spirited Lights fans" attended the jersey reveal event at Zappos' downtown Las Vegas HQ. There was an "outpouring of soccer emotion by the fans" as the new uniform was "distributed to season ticket holders who received the jersey for free as part of their season ticket deals." Lights Owner Brett Lashbrook invested $10M to "bring professional soccer" to Las Vegas and has positioned the first-year USL club as "downtown Las Vegas’ team." The Lights have "claimed downtown as their turf," sharing Cashman Field with the Triple-A PCL Las Vegas 51s for "only one year before the 51s move" to a new $150M ballpark in Las Vegas' Summerlin neighborhood in '19 (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 2/7). In Las Vegas, Ben Gotz notes the jersey "features a black background with the Lights logo below the neck and Zappos’ logo across the chest, but there’s also neon blue, yellow and pink throughout." Zappos Art Dir Fernando Cabestany designed the neon accents that "include bright blue and yellow tubing down the chest and hips, pink flares on the sleeves and a bright yellow collar" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 2/8).
