Adidas Quickly Created AM4MN Cleats In Advance Of Super Bowl LII

When something is being created in the Germany-based SPEEDFACTORY, you know it’s going to help on the field. Adidas has unveiled new, data-driven AM4MN (adidas Made For Minnesota) football cleats, customized for the greatest players in the world.

AM4MN was produced while considering how a football player’s foot moves during play. They used athlete foot scans and ARAMIS motion capture technology (often utilized by NASA) to provide support and stability in areas around the cleat.

The Primeknit upper offers a sock-like feel and meshes with a speed-spat seam tape to deliver a feel that will help every player cut on a dime.

Not only was this cleat created with functionality in mind — timeliness was a factor as well. AM4MN was designed in the SPEEDFACTORY in under two weeks. According to adidas, that’s three-times faster than normal production.

The reason for the quick turnaround was to have it ready in time for Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots players who wear adidas to have them to show off at the Super Bowl.

Adidas has plans of creating another SPEEDFACTORY in Atlanta in order to provide localized production. AM4MN is the third unique creation to come out of the factory.
