GoBowling Furthers NASCAR Ties, Sponsors Richmond Xfinity Race

Richmond Raceway has signed Go Bowling as the title sponsor for the track’s fall NASCAR Xfinity Series race, deepening the ties between the track and bowling industry. Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which sees GoBowling replace Virginia529 as title sponsor of the September race. The deal will see Go Bowling serve as title sponsor a few days after the PWBA Tour Championship brings an event back to the track’s 60,000-square-foot Old Dominion indoor exhibition hall. The track, which tries to bring in non-raceday events to help diversify its revenue, first held the midweek event in the days leading up to Richmond’s race weekend last year and will now host it for a second time in ’18. Go Bowling, which also is title sponsor of Watkins Glen's NASCAR Cup series race this season, will keep the lanes up after the pro event is over as a sponsor activation for fans to use during the race weekend. The Go Bowling 250 is currently slated to be the only NASCAR race in ’18 in which Dale Earnhardt Jr. races.
