YOUTH RISING TO THE TOP: YAHOO SPORTS' Ben Rohrbach noted Warriors F Draymond Green, Wizards G John Wall and Cavaliers Gs Isaiah Thomas and Dwyane Wade all "fell out of the top 15 from this past June" and were replaced by Porzingis, Embiid, Simmons and Ball. Meanwhile, the 76ers "moved up six spots from ninth" on the previous list, while the Knicks replaced the Rockets in the top 10. These lists show the league is "in good hands, with a healthy crop of young players and rosters moving up the rankings to challenge incumbent superstars and super-teams" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/16). ESPN.com's Darren Rovell noted it is not just Antetokounmpo jerseys that are "flying off the shelves." A Bucks representative said that, from July 1 through Monday, the number of Antetokounmpo items bought is up 89% as "compared to the same period last year," while sales are up 130% (ESPN.com, 1/16).
