Media Notes

In Philadelphia, Matt Gelb reported Kevin Frandsen, Kevin Jordan and Kevin Stocker will serve as Phillies radio analysts this season for select games as regular analyst Larry Andersen plans to "reduce his schedule" to just home games. The three former Phillies infielders will "split the road schedule next season, although the Phillies did not say how many games" each will broadcast. The club now has "six radio broadcasters and five TV broadcasters" (PHILLY.com, 1/8). Frandsen currently "co-hosts the nighttime sports talk show" on S.F.-based KNBR-AM, and he will "not call any (of) the three Phillies games at AT&T Park in early June because KNBR thought that might be a conflict." Most of Frandsen’s games will be "on the East Coast" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 1/9).

KEEP ON SWIMMING: THE ATHLETIC's Ken Rosenthal noted the impending Disney-Fox deal will "not affect the ongoing negotiations between the Marlins and Fox over a new local TV contract that would begin" in '21. Fox will "conduct business as usual, just in case the transfer does not occur." If Fox "completes a deal with the Marlins, Disney will simply assume the contract after the Fox-Disney transaction closes" (THEATHLETIC.com, 1/7).
