Endeavor Strengthens Marketing Arm With Deal To Acquire Agency 160over90

Endeavor has "agreed to acquire" Philadelphia-based branding and marketing agency 160over90 from private equity firm Searchlight Capital Partners, according to Alexandra Bruell of the WALL STREET JOURNAL. Terms were not disclosed, but a source said that the "price was approximately" $200M. The agency, which has "about 180 employees, will be housed within Endeavor Global Marketing." 160over90 "handles branding and marketing for a number of colleges, sports teams and brands," including Ferrari, the Colts, Eagles, UCLA and Under Armour. Mark Shapiro, co-President of Endeavor divisions IMG and WME, indicated that Endeavor’s and 160over90’s services "will complement each other." One example would be that Endeavor, which "works with Visa on sponsorship strategy, could 'enhance' its current client relationship with the digital and mobile capabilities of 160over90" (WSJ.com, 1/9).
