Fox Sports hired VERNON CHEEK from CBS to be VP/Media Relations. His first day is today. Cheek will report to Exec VP/Communications TERRI HINES and be based in L.A. Cheek will focus on media relations and PR around studio shows on Fox and FS1. Most recently, Cheek was Dir of Publicity for CBS, working on primetime shows like "CSI," "Criminal Minds" and "Mike and Molly." But he also has held marketing positions with NFL teams: the Bears, Seahawks, Saints and Colts (John Ourand, Staff Writer).

MOVING OUT WEST: Legends named former NASCAR Managing Dir of Team Marketing Services CHRIS TRAEGER Exec VP of the Raiders' Las Vegas stadium project, according to Traeger's LinkedIn account. Traeger listed his duties as leading revenue generation, developing sale strategies for suites, PSLs, tickets, naming rights and other sponsorships, and leading a team of 50 sales and service staffers. THE DAILY first reported Dec. 1 that Traeger had left NASCAR (Adam Stern, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Kansas Speedway promoted the following: JOE FOWLER to VP/Sales & Marketing; RYAN HOGUE to Senior Dir of Communications & Consumer Marketing; and ERIC PETERSON to Dir of Corporate Sales & Marketing (Kansas Speedway)....FanDuel CFO ANDY GIANCAMILLI gained the additional title of COO. The company also announced co-Founder and Chief Product Officer TOM GRIFFITHS has moved on to start a new venture in artificial intelligence (FanDuel)....IndyCar named KYLE NOVAK Verizon IndyCar Series Race Dir. Novak spent the past three years as Race Dir for various sports car series sanctioned by Int'l Motor Sports Association (IndyCar)....NBA Kings Dir of Scouting & Senior Adviser to the GM MIKE BRATZ is "no longer with the team" (SACBEE.com, 1/6).
