Buyers & Sellers: Carson Palmer Sells House In Del Mar With Ocean Views For $5.85M

Cardinals QB CARSON PALMER sold his Del Mar, Calif., home for $5.85M, which was $100,000 "shy of the asking price." The 3,809-square-foot home was built in '07 and includes a "vaulted-ceiling living room, a chef's kitchen, a dining room, five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms." The "shake-sided home" features "ocean views from three separate decks" (LATIMES.com, 12/22)....Nationals P MAX SCHERZER has sold his penthouse condo in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $1.7M. The corner unit sits atop the Optima Camelview Village building and features "floor-to-ceiling windows that take full advantage of the views." The 3,000-square-foot condo has "three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in all." Sliding glass doors lead out to "four private balconies that take in the surrounding city and mountains" (LATIMES.com, 12/27)....Former NBAer LUIS SCOLA has put two homes in Pearland, Texas, up for sale. The first house, built in '03, is listed for $580,000 and has nearly 5,000 square feet with four bedrooms. The lot is over 12,000 square feet and includes a "pool, fountains, gazebo and a lake view." The second house is going for $379,000, and the nearly 4,000-square-foot home built in '06 has "four bedrooms and a game room upstairs that has plumbing capability for a wet bar." The lot is more than 9,000 square feet (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/27)....A house just south of Lambeau Field is being sold for $1M in "cryptocurrency, including bitcoin, using blockchain technology." Former Facebook exec CHRIS MURPHY's company, FinPar, "owns the home." Murphy "uses the house to host tailgates for friends and family." He "expects the house to sell within four months." The $1M price tag is "about four times" the home's assessed value (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 12/29).
