Wisconsin Football Ticket Usage Dips Slightly In '17 Despite Undefeated Home Season

The Univ. of Wisconsin returned to an "average level of ticket usage" for the '17 football season despite the team going 12-0 in the regular season, including a perfect 7-0 at Camp Randall Stadium, according to Todd Milewski of the WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL. UW had an "announced home attendance average" of 78,824 this year, but only 84% of those tickets "were used." That is according to the "number of tickets scanned at Camp Randall entrance gates." That actually is down from 87% of tickets in '16 either sold or distributed that "ended up being used." That rate was "near the high end of the range recorded since UW started using digital ticket scanners at admission." The 84% figure recorded in '17 also was the "average for the 11 previous seasons." Camp Randall has a listed capacity of 80,321 (WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL, 12/19).
