Marlins Begin Filling Front Office Positions, Hiring Four High-Level Execs

The Marlins have made a series of front-office hires as it begins to reorganize under new co-Owners BRUCE SHERMAN and DEREK JETER. The new appointments include ADAM JONES, formerly with PricewaterhouseCoopers Sports & Entertainment, as Senior VP/Strategy & Development; CAROLINE O'CONNOR, formerly with Morgan Stanley, as Senior VP/Chief of Staff; DAVID OXFELD, formerly with Excel Sports Management, as VP/Head of Corporate Partnerships; and JASON LATIMER, formerly a communications exec with the Yankees and Rays, as VP/Communications & Outreach. Each will report to Jeter, the Marlins’ CEO. While at Excel, Oxfeld was named this year to SBJ’s Forty Under 40 list. Many other Marlins front office hires will wait until after Sherman and Jeter select a president of business operations, a search ongoing with the aid of Turnkey Search.
