We'll Pick You Up: Enterprise Rent-A-Car Looking Into Blues' Arena Naming-Rights Deal

The Blues are shopping the naming rights to Scottrade Center, and an Enterprise Rent-A-Car exec in an email noted the brand is "taking a look at it," according to Brian Feldt of the ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL. A photo on a Reddit thread shows the venue's jumbotron with a "photo that included a logo of Enterprise Rent-A-Car on the front of the arena." But Enterprise VP/Communications Christy Cavallini in the email noted it was "just a pitch," adding the company looks at "any opportunity brought to us." She also noted Enterprise is an NHL sponsor, so it "makes sense they would approach us." Feldt noted the Scottrade Center name "will be removed after this season after Scottrade, which is based in St. Louis, was acquired by TD Ameritrade." Officials with brokerage firm Edward Jones "dismissed the idea of the St. Louis-based company buying the naming rights" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/31).
