Facility Notes

In Milwaukee, James Nelson writes the Bucks' new parking garage opens tomorrow and is the "first piece" of the team's downtown development project that will be "open to the public." The garage is "packed with details and amenities." It is "easy to imagine a few hundred people gathering up there for a rooftop party enjoying panorama views in advance" of a basketball game or concert. Bucks President Peter Feigin said that the team will also "give tailgating a shot." Nelson writes the garage cost about $47M and is a "large chunk" of the City of Milwaukee's contribution to the $250M in public support for the $524M arena project. The city and the Bucks will "split parking revenue" while the team will "operate and provide security for the structure" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/31).

LEAK DETECTION
: In Atlanta, Tim Tucker reports Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s roof "sprung some leaks amid heavy rain at an event Saturday." A stadium spokesperson in a statement said, "The severe weather conditions and on-going construction led to a few leaks around various parts of the stadium, which is common" (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 10/31).
