Owners Robert and Jonathan Kraft's Overwatch League franchise will be named the Boston Uprising. The team colors of blue and yellow reference the city's flag, which also has a blue and yellow city seal on a background of sky blue. Previously announced franchises in the Overwatch League include the Shanghai Dragons, Dallas Fuel, S.F. Shock and L.A. Valiant (THE DAILY).

TROVE OF TREASURE: In Pittsburgh, Elizabeth Bloom notes the Pirates will "hold their annual PiratesFest Dec. 9 at PNC Park." The annual event had been "held at the David L. Lawrewnce Convention Center" since '04. It also is "being shortened to one day, though the team will sell tickets to an autograph event at PNC Park on Dec. 8." Proceeds will "benefit Pirates Charities" (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 10/26).

TIME TO CELEBRATE: In Charlotte, Joe Marusak noted the Triple-A Int'l League Charlotte Knights will "mark their 20th year as the top affiliate" of the White Sox in '18 with a commemorative logo and a March 26 exhibition game against the White Sox at BB&T Ballpark. A patch with the logo design will be "featured on all home white jerseys for the season." The Knights also will wear special on-field 20th season jerseys on "select nights throughout the season." Special promotions, giveaways and appearances also will "honor the 20-year affiliation" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 10/25).
