247Sports.com Lands Deal With Pro Football Focus That Will Result In New CFB Site

CBS Sports Digital-owned 247Sports.com has struck an exclusive partnership with Pro Football Focus that will include the creation of a new college football website blending content from both entities. The newly created and co-branded 247Sports.com/pffcollege will feature statistical data and analysis, including game-by-game numerical grades for every player at each FBS school. 247Sports.com also will use Pro Football Focus’ college football data to enhance its existing network of team-based sites. The development of video content is also planned. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the parties intend to begin marketing the combined offering to advertisers in early ’18, with CBS Sports Digital taking a primary sales role. The deal was primarily constructed by 247Sports.com Founder & CEO Shannon Terry and longtime digital media exec Wayne Sieve, consulting on behalf of Pro Football Focus. “When PFF decided to go deep in college football it really got our attention,” Terry said. “PFF has virtually an unlimited supply of college team and player data and our staff of approximately 300 writers and experts will be key to creating compelling editorial and video content at the national and team site levels.”
