Vikings RB Latavius Murray Selling Personalized Gear Featuring His Likeness

Vikings RB Latavius Murray recently unveiled a personal website where fans can buy "all sorts of gear" featuring his likeness, according to Chris Tomasson of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. A Murray "Purple Reign" T-shirt and "Classic Logo Dad Hat" each cost $29.99 and are among the items featured on latavius.com. Murray "previously had taytrain.com, which now redirects to his new website." He "sold merchandise on the site" and has done "plenty of work on it." Murray has "put a Vikings touch on plenty of his merchandise for sale." One T-shirt "depicts Murray wearing a pair of Vikings horns." There is one that "reads alongside his name, 'Skol, Skol, Skol' and another that says, 'Show Your Horns.'" Murray said, "We found this company just because it allows me to kind of fall back a little and let them do the work and let me focus on football." Tomasson noted Murray hired a California marketing company to "handle the new site," though he "still has plenty of input." Murray: "You've got to make sure you definitely take advantage of this opportunity and you got to market well, if you can, while you're here, because what does (the NFL) stand for, 'Not for Long?'" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 10/9).
