Buyers & Sellers: Chris Paul Sells Bel-Air Home For $8.7M; Brewers Owner Buys In Malibu

Rockets G CHRIS PAUL has sold his home in Bel-Air for $8.7M. The Mediterranean-style mansion has "nearly 12,200 square feet of living space that includes a 12-seat theater, a billiards room and a gym with a sauna." A commercial elevator "services two floors of living and a subterranean, 10-car garage." A subterranean wine cellar has "storage for as many as 500 bottles." Nine touch panels are "dispersed throughout the house and control everything from the lights to the 48 ceiling speakers" (LATIMES.com, 9/28).

MAJOR LEAGUE
: BARRY BONDS has put his Mediterranean-style home in Hillsborough, Calif., "on the market" for $6.6M. The five-bedroom home "sits on a half-acre plot." The 5,170-square-foot home "features two kitchens, one in the house and one on the patio." The master bedroom has its "own sitting area and opens to the spacious backyard, complete with a separate patio surrounded by a lawn and landscaping." Three other bedroom suites are in the "main residence, and the guest house has a bathroom and pantry" (LATIMES.com, 10/4)....Brewers Owner MARK ATTANASIO has "purchased an oceanfront property" in Malibu's Broad Beach area for $6.6M "through a corporate entity" (LATIMES.com, 10/4).

SELLING IN BULK: Former NBAer DEREK FISHER has "sold his home" in Hidden Hills, Calif., for $5.95M. The estate "features such personal touches as Venetian plaster walls and hickory-wood floors." Modern chandeliers "create visual interest in the two-story foyer and living and dining rooms." A wood-paneled den, executive office, screening room, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms also "lie within more than 9,400 square feet of living space" (LATIMES.com, 9/30)....Turkish club Galatasaray MF NIGEL DE JONG has "sold his home" in Encino, Calif., for the asking price of $4.3M. The home "sits behind walls and fencing and has a covered porch next to the front door." Some 7,000 square feet of interior space include a "formal entry and a two-story living room that opens to the dining room." An "office/den and a glass-enclosed wine cellar sit off the foyer." There are five bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms (LATIMES.com, 10/4)....NASCAR driver MATT KENSETH has sold his European-style home in Mooresville, N.C., for $2.075M. He listed the waterfront house for sale in May for $2.5M before dropping the price to $2.3M in July. The five-bedroom home has 7,613 square feet and "backs up to the water." The dual master suites both "provide access to the covered patio stretching across the back of the home." Surrounded by "landscaping, the pool, spa and outdoor kitchen all enjoy views of the water" (LATIMES.com, 10/3).

HIGH RISERS: Fox' DAVE WANNSTEDT paid $1.39M to trade up for a three-bedroom, 2,100-square-foot unit in Chicago's Pinnacle building. Wannstedt listed his 16th-floor unit for $1.095M in June. In August, he reduced his asking price to $1.025M, and that condo is under contract (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 10/2)....Marlins RF GIANCARLO STANTON's three-story penthouse in downtown Miami that he purchased in May has "five bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, and a rooftop terrace with a private pool and summer kitchen." Additional features include "two elevators, 10-foot-high floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors and up to three garage-secured parking spaces." The "exact price Stanton paid for his future palace is unknown, but the building’s last remaining tri-level penthouse is currently on the market for approximately" $6M (SUN-SENTINEL.com, 10/8).

: Former Chicago sports radio personality MIKE NORTH has listed his four-bedroom, 3,535-square-foot, custom-built English Tudor-style house in Park Ridge, Ill., for $995,000. The place has 3.5 baths, four fireplaces, two staircases, a family room "with a cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace, his and hers offices, a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, and a master suite with two fireplaces and a large walk-in closet" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 10/3).
