Overnight Ratings: Presidents Cup Down For Sunday; Clemson-VaTech Tops CFB

NBC yesterday drew a 1.8 overnight rating for the final day of Presidents Cup coverage, where the U.S. had a comfortable lead coming into the day on the way to a landslide win. Four years ago, the last time the event was held in the U.S., NBC drew a 2.5 overnight for the final day. The net also drew a 2.5 for Sunday coverage in ’09.

SATURDAY NIGHT'S ALRIGHT: Clemson-Virginia Tech was the top-rated college football game of Week 5, as the matchup on ABC’s “Saturday Night Football” window drew a 3.0 overnight. Last year in Week 5, ABC drew a 6.0 for Louisville-Clemson. Earlier on Saturday, CBS drew a 2.6 for Georgia’s 41-0 win over Tennessee, which was actually flat compared to the same matchup last year -- a much closer affair.
