What does a day in the life of Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman look like?

Thanks to his new The Players’ Tribune OUT OF CONTEXT content series, fans will have a chance to find out.

“The media landscape has shifted in recent years, and words being misconstrued or twisted into sensationalized headlines has become commonplace,” Sherman said in a statement. “This new series will allow me to be transparent, organic and to really control my own message.”

The series will feature first-person video narratives recorded by Sherman himself using the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8 that have been equipped in both Sherman’s home and car.

“Whether it’s his thoughts pertaining to the game or on issues affecting all of us, OUT OF CONTEXT will give Richard the opportunity to speak his mind and share his thoughts in the simplest of ways — unfiltered, directly to the camera and in the moment,” The Players’ Tribune President Jaymee Messler said in a statement. “Samsung and the Players’ Tribune share similar brand values in that we both want to empower unique and creative voices like Richard’s to tell their stories, and to give fresh perspective through premium tools and products.”

For Samsung, this is an opportunity to have a part in the already existing role that technology has in storytelling and bringing people together, according to Alex Chang, Head of Sports Marketing of Samsung Electronics America.

“Our collaboration with The Player’s Tribune is focused on providing new and innovative ways to engage fans and hope it will inspire others to make their voices heard,” he said in a statement.

The series premiered on Thursday and runs weekly throughout this NFL season. It will be found on The Players’ Tribune website as well as Sherman’s social channels.
