Buyers & Sellers: Chargers GM Purchases Newport Beach Home From Former MLBer

Chargers GM TOM TELESCO recently purchased a home in Newport Beach, Calif., from former MLBer JIM EDMONDS for $2.998M. With more than 5,000 square feet of space and "updated since it was built" in '10, the house includes "formal living and dining rooms, a great room, five bedrooms and six bathrooms." French doors on the main floor "open to an outdoor living space, where hedges surround a patio area." A three-car garage "sits at the back of the home" (LATIMES.com, 9/4)....Former MLBer VLADIMIR GUERRERO put his Mediterranean-style home in Anaheim Hills, Calif., on the market for $2.185M. The five-bedroom home "opens to a 14-foot foyer ceiling." French doors in "both the master bedroom and family room open to the spacious backyard, which has an athletic court, cabana, fire pit and a pool with a grotto waterfall." Also included in the 5,833-square-foot home is a "1,500-bottle backlit wine cellar" (LATIMES.com, 9/7)....Former NFLer RASHARD MENDENHALL, now a writer with the HBO show "Ballers," has sold his Santa Monica, Calif., townhouse for $1.5M after seven months on the market. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home features "high ceilings, a gourmet chef's kitchen and exotic hardwood floors" (LATIMES.com, 9/5).
