Amazon Prime members in Germany and Austria will have another reason to stay home on Friday night.

That’s because Discovery Communications recently struck a deal with Amazon to stream its Eurosport network through Amazon that will bring live Bundesliga matches to Friday nights.

German and Austrian subscribers to Amazon’s marquee service will have access to exclusive HD content from Eurosport, including 45 live-streamed and exclusive Bundesliga matches. Fans will be able to watch the players who could compete for the German and Austrian national teams in next summer’s FIFA World Cup.

“We are delighted to offer our millions of Prime members in Germany and Austria access to live premium sports, including Bundesliga football on Eurosport Player via Amazon Channels,” Alex Green, the managing director of Amazon Channels Europe, said in a statement.

Eurosport went live on Aug. 16, in time to offer Prime members a premium content slate that includes the ongoing U.S. Open, as well as the Australian Open and French Open, MotoGP racing, and the upcoming PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. Every sports event on Eurosport can be watched live and on-demand through Amazon Channels.

Bundesliga coverage began on Aug. 18, featuring Bayern Munich and Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the league’s opener. (Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga’s defending champion, won the match.) Eurosport Player, which fans can access through the Prime Video app online or on any Internet-enabled device, will also bring fans a weekly preview show and highlights of Bundesliga matches.

“Discovery is excited to partner with Amazon to bring our premium sport to new and existing fans.  As the new home of Bundesliga, Eurosport Player will deliver a more engaging and more accessible experience than ever before,” Susanne Aigner-Drews, Discovery’s senior vice president and general manager, said in a statement. “This partnership helps us to deliver the ambition to give fans the opportunity to watch the teams and players they love, live through Amazon Channels.”

“At 4.99 Euros per month, with no long-term commitment and cancellable anytime, Prime members can enjoy Bundesliga matches and other premium sports at exceptional value and in the most flexible and easy way across all of their favorite devices and screens,” Green said. “This is great news for sports fans.”

Discovery’s deal with Amazon in Germany and Austria comes on the heels of its launch of Eurosport Player on Amazon in the United Kingdom, enabling Prime customers there to watch the Olympic Games, French Open, Giro d’Italia and Tour de France.
