The Univ. of New Mexico named LSU Deputy AD EDDIE NUNEZ AD. Nunez leaves LSU after a "14-year tenure." He will be replacing PAUL KREBS, who "announced his retirement June 2" (Baton Rouge ADVOCATE, 9/1)....Duke AD KEVIN WHITE has agreed to a contract extension through June 30, 2022. The new deal represents a one-year extension from White's previous contract (Duke)....Yale AD TOM BECKETT "will retire at the end of the school year." Beckett, who has served as AD since '94, was "instrumental in fundraising efforts to renovate or restore the school's athletic facilities" (NEW HAVEN REGISTER, 9/1)....Univ. of Virginia Exec Associate AD JON OLIVER is leaving the athletics department to pursue other opportunities. Oliver has been  with UVA since '01 (UVA). 

EXECS: Steelers GM KEVIN COLBERT "signed a two-year contract extension" that runs through the '20 draft (POST-GAZETTE.com, 8/31)....The Sabres promoted Dir of Media Relations CHRIS BANDURA to VP/Media Relations and Dir of Community Relations RICH JURELLER to VP/Community Relations (BUFFALONEWS.com, 8/31)....The Bulls named Grizzlies regional scout and assistant coach SHAWN RESPERT Dir of Player Development (Bulls)....Bay Area-based VR outfit Strivr has hired NATHANIEL JEWELL as CFO. Jewell previously was with Apple, where he worked in strategy and finance (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer)....Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment promoted the following in their Client Services Division: MICHELLE FOLTS to Senior Dir, MICHAEL MILLER to Dir, SAMUEL PARK to Senior Manager and VINCENT YEAGER and CHESTER MAXSON to Account Managers (THE DAILY).
