CBSSPORTS.com's Jack Maloney noted the NBA Store's Twitter account yesterday "sent out images and shirts" with G Isaiah Thomas' name and new number that he would wear for the Cavaliers. NBA Store is "already advertising Thomas' Cavaliers gear," though the Cavs-Celtics trade has not been made official over concerns about Thomas' injured hip. Meanwhile, the NBA Store's website also has Kyrie Irving Celtics gear available featuring No. 11 (CBSSPORTS.com, 8/28).

STORM WARNING: In Oklahoma City, Brett Dawson reports Thunder G Russell Westbrook yesterday provided a "first glimpse at Thunder gear made by Nike, the NBA’s new apparel provider," on social media. The post "shows him wearing a white Thunder T-shirt featuring the Nike swoosh." A team spokesperson "confirmed it’s official team gear from Nike" (OKLAHOMAN, 8/29).

SPIRITS IN THE SKY: U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced High West Distillery as its official spirits partner in a three-year deal, marking the first time the NGB has filled the category since Captain Morgan was a partner in the early ‘00s. Utah-based High West, the state’s first legal hard liquor maker since 1860, will activate through digital, print and broadcast media campaigns. Terms were not disclosed (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).
