1. What is your elevator pitch?

Finding the best recruits for college athletic programs is expensive and time-consuming and often doesn’t result in the right fit for the program or the recruit. We created scoutSMART to make the process more efficient and effective through predictive data analytics that helps college coaches identify the best recruits for their program based on their skills, stats and academic scores.

2. Problem & Solution

College coaches struggle to find the best recruits for their programs and high school student athletes want to be found. While there are several paid services for students to use to help promote themselves to coaches, nobody is providing college coaches with a fully customizable data analytics dashboard to help them surface and identify the best student athletes for their specific program’s goals and needs.

3. Market – your target market and the overall market

We are specifically targeting collegiate athletic programs that desire to improve their recruiting processes and results by using data and predictive analytics. Estimated market size for collegiate sports analytics is around $500M.

4. Business Model – how do you make money?

scoutSMART is available as a SAAS model to collegiate athletic programs for a monthly or annual recurring fee.

5. Management Team – with titles

Diane Bloodworth, CEO/Founder
Monisha Longacre, Marketing
Henry Hunter, Partnerships
Michael Costner, Data Analyst
Eric Waters, Coach Relationships/Sales

6. Financial Needs: are you currently looking for investment? Have you raised investment already? If so, who are your investors?

Yes. We are seeking $500K to develop and launch the basketball analytics platform in addition to the football platform which is already live.
