MLB, ESPN Expand Shred Hate Bullying Prevention Program To Three Markets

First introduced earlier this year along with ESPN’s X Games, Shred Hate will be deployed in schools in Chicago, DC and Minneapolis, also site of the ’18 X Games, and later expanded to other MLB markets. The effort also involves S.F.-based non-profit No Bully, and the Shred Hate program seeks to teach compassion and alternatives to student suspensions. MLB and ESPN have made a three-year commitment with an undisclosed monetary grant to aid No Bully in its curriculum development, including the inclusion of baseball-themed components into the program, and the pair will also promote Shred Hate through its various assets.
