In London, Charles Sale noted EPL club Manchester United had "sponsorship discussions with online dating service Tinder" about the club's sleeve inventory. Tinder is said to be offering US$15.9M a year for the deal (London DAILY MAIL, 7/31).

STAY COOL: The NHL Panthers announced a "multi-year partnership" with Miami-based Cooper & Hunter HVAC. Terms of the deal "were not disclosed." The Panthers also recently announced a partnership with South Florida-based A Family Limousine & Coaches, which will be the team's "preferred limousine service." In South Florida, Emon Reiser noted BB&T Center will have a "designated pick-up and drop-off zone for the company's services at the gate six entrance called A Family Limousine & Coaches Parking Lot" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 8/1).

NOT SO FAST: In N.Y., Richard Morgan notes Florida-based Comprehensive Health Services, a source for workforce medical services, "registered a 'METS' trademark for its proprietary Medical Exam Tracking System." The Mets, in a "notice of opposition" filed with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office on July 24, are "objecting to the award of the trademark" to the company (N.Y. POST, 8/2).
