Keeping It Clean: Panasonic Signs Grooming Deal With Facial Hair-Averse Yankees

The Yankees have signed a sponsorship deal with Panasonic making the company the club’s official shaver and trimmer provider. The agreement covers the duration of the ’17 season as well as ’18 and ’19, and will include Yankee Stadium signage and co-branded retail activations. The Yankees notably have a team policy against its players having beards, and the deal is the first for Panasonic in the grooming and shaving category. “Panasonic is uniting our brand with a team that maintains a carefully groomed appearance on the field,” said Panasonic Consumer Electronics Senior Marketing Manager Lori Chiazzo.
