In Atlanta, Phil Hudson noted Falcons QB Matt Ryan has partnered with Banana Republic to be part of the "first-ever Banana Republic Men's Style Council." The "specially-selected group of tastemakers" also includes Cavaliers F Kevin Love, Trail Blazers G C.J. McCollum and Yankees SS Didi Gregorius. Banana Republic will "debut its partnership with an in-store event" hosted at Atlanta's Lenox Square Mall on Tuesday that will "include a public meet and greet with Ryan" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/20).

COUNTRYWIDE REACH
: NFL Shop has released the best-selling jerseys by state, and Patriots QB Tom Brady "leads the way with 17 different states favoring his jersey." That includes every state in New England as well as "some surprises, like Louisiana and Florida." Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch has the "best-selling jersey in 14 states," while Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 7/20).

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION: Penguins C Sidney Crosby "spent part of the day Tuesday filming a commercial for CCM." The company turned to Snapchat to "document behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot," which includes Crosby "getting dressed beforehand, and once on the ice, showing off what he does best" (THECHRONICLEHERALD.ca, 7/18).

TEE IT UP: Michigan-based insurance broker Burns & Wilcox has "extended its sponsorship deal" with golfer Webb Simpson after first partnering with him in January. The firm's name, which also "appears on his caddy's hat, now will also appear on his golf bag." Length and financial terms of the extension were not available. Burns & Wilcox also has an "ongoing sponsorship deal" with Jimmy Walker (CRAINSDETROIT.com, 7/19).
