Texas Motor Speedway named Team Penske Dir of Marketing Partnerships & New Business JASON WONDERLY VP/Sales. Wonderly, who starts Monday and will head up an 11-person business development team at SMI-owned TMS, spent nine years at Penske (Adam Stern, Staff Writer).

FINDING A NEW CHALLENGE: Aspen Skiing Co. COO DAVID PERRY has "left the company after 15 years to work as a consultant for the joint venture recently formed by SkiCo and KSL Capital Partners that is acquiring the Mammoth Mountain, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows assets." SkiCo President & CEO MIKE KAPLAN said the company will “know more in the next 30 days” about a potential succession plan. Perry will be based in Denver (ASPEN DAILY NEWS, 7/20).

EXECS: The Suns gave GM RYAN MCDONOUGH a multiyear contract extension and also named former NBAer JAMES JONES VP/Basketball Operations. Jones will report to McDonough, who is entering his fifth season as the team's GM (Suns)....RON JAWORSKI has retired as Maxwell Football Club Chair & President "after more than 20 years with the organization." Jaworski will become BOD Chair Emeritus. Meanwhile, Maxwell Football Club named former NFLer SHAWN WOODEN BOD Chair and promoted Senior Counsel MARK DIANNO to President & CEO (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 7/19)....Learfield named Blue Jackets Exec VP/Business Operations LARRY HOEPFNER GM of its Illinois State property. Learfield also named Sales Operations Coordinator of its Northern Iowa property RYAN RANDALL Business Development Manager of its Illinois State operation (Learfield).
