Buyers & Sellers: Kelly Slater Purchases Beachfront Property In Hawaii For $7.8M

Surfer KELLY SLATER has bought a home on the North Shore of Oahu, in the town of Haleiwa, for $7.8M. The 8,000-square-foot beachfront house is part of a compound that "comprises the main house, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a one-bedroom cottage." There is also a "pool, a pond with a Buddha statue, and boardwalks with a tropical Asia setting." All three buildings "open out to the pool and lush gardens" (REALTOR.com, 6/28).

ON THE MARKET: Lightning VP & GM STEVE YZERMAN has put his home in the Davis Islands neighborhood in Tampa back on the market for $3.45M. The Mediterranean-style home was "built on a canal" in '07. The 6,265-square-foot home has "four bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half-baths." Amenities include "covered terraces with cypress ceilings, an outdoor kitchen with sink, grill and gas firepit and a heated pool with spa" (TAMPABAY.com, 6/23)....Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY is "taking another shot" at selling his Walnut Creek, Calif., home, which has returned to market at $3.195M. The 7,250-square-foot Mediterranean-style house, built in '06, has "19 rooms that include a grand foyer, a great room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a library, five bedrooms and five bathrooms." The chef's kitchen was "recently redone and features Carrara marble countertops and a white-and-gold La Cornue Range." The lower-level lounge "holds family and game rooms and a wet bar" (LATIMES.com, 6/26).
