Ideally, a trip to the concessions stand at a baseball game should be quick. While visiting a major league park, chances are slim that you’re able to grab food/drink and be back in your seat without missing a pitch. That’s why Appetize is working to streamline the entire process with advanced concessions technology.

On Tuesday, the point-of-sale (POS) company announced the launch of its foodservice & retail transaction technology at four pro baseball stadiums: Yankee Stadium, Coors Field (Colorado Rockies), Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City Royals) and Angel Stadium of Anaheim. This is in addition to their tech already being installed at Dodger Stadium, Citi Field (New York Mets) and Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox).

Appetize provides a step up in the pace of service and adapts to the newest payment formats (Apple Pay, Masterpass, etc.) making the lives of venue managers simpler. “Appetize has been a great partner that has driven both innovation and efficiency within our operations,” Mike Morris, the CIO of Legends Hospitality, Foodservice Provider for Yankee Stadium, said in a statement. “Using Appetize has helped us to enhance the fan experience by providing more flexible ordering and payment solutions that improve the speed of service to our customers.”

Along with vastly increasing revenue growth for GMs, Appetize’s technology can break down an operation down to the most minute detail. Cloud-based inventory management allows you to track each piece of food all while updating those numbers live.

Not only will it make management and staff happy, but fans as well. At Yankee Stadium there will be POS terminals all around the park as well as VIP in-seat ordering platforms. This way you don’t miss the next Aaron Judge home run just because you’re hungry.

Said Kevin Anderson, Appetize chief strategy officer, in a statement, “In every venue Appetize launches, GMs see immediate revenue growth, a vastly improved guest ordering experience, massive cost savings and turnkey profit increase. That capability is driving our strong referral and aggressive momentum across the major venue concessions market.”

The system, including staff training, device integration and more, is also available to entertainment, education, professional and commercial events and venues.
