General Mills named Coca-Cola North America Senior VP/Strategic Marketing IVAN POLLARD CMO, a job that has been "expanded to global scope." Pollard will establish the company's "first global marketing and media planning structure." He will begin July 10 and report to General Mills CEO JEFF HARMENING. At Coca-Cola, Pollard "used data to help manage" the company's $2B in annual global ad spending. Prior to Coca-Cola, he "worked for a variety of marketing agencies." He was a global partner in Naked Communications, and a "leader in firms like BMP," now called DDB Needham, and Wieden+Kennedy, "best known for its work with Nike" (STARTRIBUNE.com, 6/21).

GOAT HERDING: Former Twitter COO ADAM BAIN is "joining the board of GOAT, a commerce startup that lets users buy and sell rare sneakers, similar to eBay." Bain "met with GOAT's founders because he was a heavy user of the product himself." The company "has raised" more than $37M in funding. This is Bain's "first board role." He said that "he's in no rush to go back to working full time" (RECODE.net, 6/22). 

VETERAN ADDITIONS: MLS expansion team LAFC named Clippers VP/Communications SETH BURTON to the same position (LAFC)....The Panthers named Hockey HOFer CHRIS PRONGER Senior Advisor to the President of Hockey Operations. Pronger had been working with the NHL's Department of Player Safety since '14 (Panthers)....The Padres named longtime Chargers PR Dir BILL JOHNSTON Special Advisor to Exec Chair RON FOWLER (SANDIEGOUNIONTRIBUNE.com, 6/22).

EXECS: The Univ. of Richmond promoted VP/Business & Finance DAVE HALE to Exec VP & COO. He will “oversee athletics” and will start the search for a new AD, who will succeed KEITH GILL (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 6/23)....TD Garden VP/Events STEVE NAZRO has retired from his position (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/23)....Montana State named Washington State Dir of Development CASEY FOX Senior Associate AD/Development (Montana State)....The Sports & Fitness Industry Association has added Amazon Dir & Category Leader for Sports & Fitness FOUZAN MANSURI to its BOD (SFIA).
