Buyers & Sellers: Dodgers' Andre Ethier Sells Six-Bedroom Arizona Compound For $5M

Dodgers LF ANDRE ETHIER has listed his Gilbert, Ariz., compound for $5M. The property includes "six bedrooms, six bathrooms and 9,326 square feet just in the main house." The interior walls are "clad in rustic wood and leather," and the two-story “'hers' dressing closet has a sliding ladder and a wedding dress display case." There are also "trestle-beamed ceilings." A "massive multipurpose building contains an additional 5,628 square feet with a batting cage, a game room, a fitness center and a kitchen" (LATIMES.com, 5/8). 

BUSTIN' LOOSE: The L.A. estate where late comedian and actor RICHARD PRYOR "made his home for years has been sold" to former NFLer RASHARD MENDENHALL for $2.5M. The 2.2-acre "walled and gated property in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood features a Spanish-style main home with four bedrooms and four bathrooms." A guesthouse, a pool house, dance studio and playhouse are "among the other structures on the estate," which has "more than 9,000 square feet of living space." Mendenhall, 29, now "works as a writer for the HBO series 'BALLERS'” (LATIMES.com, 5/8)

BUYERS & SELLERS: Giants 1B BRANDON BELT "closed a deal on a 5,477-square-foot home" for $3.45M in Alamo, Calif., in late January. Belt's "five-bedroom, five-bath home sits on an acre-lot in a gated community" and has a "wrap-around porch and large backyard." Upstairs also features a "bonus room and a wine closet" (REALTOR.com,5/10)....Warriors F KEVIN DURANT "sold his twin townhouse-style lodgings in Oklahoma City" for $1.1M -- "far less" than the $1.769M he paid in '13 before combining them into a single home.  The "side-by-side three-story properties are connected by a passageway and contain a total of six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 7,000 square feet of living space" (LATIMES.com, 5/10)....New York-based pizza chain Leo's Pizzeria Owner KEITH LEO paid $945,000 last week to buy former Bills coach REX RYAN's "glamorous 6,511-square-foot" Buffalo home. The four-bedroom house is "located on a hill with views of downtown ... features five full bathrooms with heated floors, a master suite, five fireplaces, a grand foyer, gourmet kitchen, a sunroom, a wet bar and wine cellar, and an in-ground pool, among other trimmings" (BUFFALONEWS.com, 5/5)....Redskins TE VERNON DAVIS has sold his Marina del Rey, Calif., condominium for $850,000. The 1,748 square feet of modernized living space "features an open floor plan, hardwood floors and walls of floor-to-ceiling glass" as well as a family room and a wet bar area (LATIMES.com, 5/11).
