FANRAG SPORTS' Wendell Barnhouse profiled Texas Tech AD KIRBY HOCUTT, who is "going into his second year" as CFP selection committee Chair. Hocutt said, "Only until you experience it can you truly anticipate being the sole spokesperson for the selection committee. With that comes the analysis of each individual word choice you make. I felt certain I understood the role but until that first week, I didn’t fully understand the enormous interest." Hocutt calls it a "significant time investment" serving on the CFP committee. He credits the work of his staff for "helping with the day-to-day duties on campus." This season will be his "third and final year on the CFP" (FANRAGSPORTS.com, 4/24).
