Pistons' Season-Ticket Sales At Little Caesars Arena Currently Second-Best In NBA

Sales of season tickets for the Pistons' return to downtown Detroit are "so brisk the team currently ranks as the second highest seller among" all NBA teams, according to Louis Aguilar of the DETROIT NEWS. Team officials said that beyond new season-ticket holders, the Pistons are "on track" to retain more than 80% of those who had full season tickets for the '16-17 season. Pistons VP/PR Kevin Grigg said sales so far are a "good sign." The move to Little Caesars Arena next season will "mark the first time the Pistons will have their home court in Detroit" since '78. As expected, the Pistons have raised season ticket prices at the new venue, where the "lowest-price full season ticket is $616," a 43.6% increase from this past season at The Palace of Auburn Hills, where the "least expensive full season ticket sold for $429." Beyond suites and season tickets, the Pistons at The Palace had "some of the lowest single ticket prices in the NBA." Griggs also said that single ticket prices for the new arena "haven't been set yet but will likely be priced closer to the league average" (DETROIT NEWS, 4/19).
