Ticketing App Gametime Launches Patent-Pending Technology FanViews

Last-minute ticketing app Gametime is rolling out a new feature that will allow sports fans and consumers to offer immediate feedback on their event experiences through a review process.

The patent-pending technology called FanViews will prompt fans to submit their rating of their seat quality along with photos from the event, which will be intended to highlight the atmosphere in that particular section and the field view from the seats themselves. Additionally, fans can also highlight any unique features near the section they sat in and other frequently-asked details such as nearby concessions or phone charging docks.

Within the Gametime checkout experience, fans can use the aggregated information provided by FanViews to learn more about the seats they selected and ultimately determine if theyre the ones theyd like to purchase.

“When we introduced high resolution, in-event photography, we significantly advanced the fan experience,” Brad Griffith, Gametime Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement. “With FanViews, we’re taking that insight to the next level by helping fans learn from a community of other fans. FanViews will also capitalize on advances in image recognition in the medium term, giving fans even more detail in the coming months.”

Gametime, which raised $20 million in a Series B round last Fall, will debut FanViews complete offering later this year following its limited release.
