Golden State Warriors, Philips Lighting Bring Oracle Arena Experience Inside Fans’ Homes

Golden State Warriors fans can now bring the energy and excitement of Oracle Arena to their own living room.

Through a new partnership with Philips Lighting, the first-of-its-kind sports collaboration for the lighting company will hopefully add to fans’ viewing experience.

To activate the Philips Hue lighting for all Warriors games, fans download the team’s mobile app, turn on the Philips Hue connected lighting system and follow a quick step-by-step guide. Lights flash at the start of every game while at the end of each win, lights will again illuminate the room.

Warriors fans can also utilize the Philips Hue app as well to shine their lights to blue and gold during games. Additionally, the lighting system can also connect to fans’ favorite apps via IFTTT and automatically trigger certain actions.

“The Warriors want to ensure that our fans have the best game-day experience possible, whether they are at the arena or in their homes,” Warriors chief marketing officer Chip Bowers said in a statement. “We are excited to be working with Philips Lighting to offer our fans a new, more personal way to be a part of the game and to showcase the future of home sports entertainment.”

Added Tom Insprucker, Chief Marketing Officer, Philips Lighting U.S. in a statement: “We’re thrilled to be working with the Golden State Warriors to merge the energy of connected lighting with the excitement of professional basketball games. With this Philips Hue integration, we are bringing the sports arena experience directly into fans’ homes. It has never been easier for lighting to help fans immerse themselves in and enhance the thrill of live sporting events — and this is just the beginning of our collaboration.”
