Under Armour named General Motors Global Advanced Design Dir of Design CLAY DEAN to thew new role of Chief Innovation Officer, reporting directly to President of Category Management & Innovation KEVIN HALEY. Dean will be responsible for driving UA's vision and strategy for innovation, as well as cross-functional collaboration with its internal design, marketing, product and category management teams. He will be based out of UA’s HQ in Baltimore (UA). Dean "spent more than 20 years at GM" (FOOTWEARNEWS.com, 3/13). He comes on at a time when UA's "brand image has taken a hit" (INVESTORS.com, 3/13).
