Turner President David Levy discussed Bleacher Report’s decision to delete a tweet following complaints by Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban over a post about F Dirk Nowitzki. Levy: “There is no outside influencer that will or has influenced our decisions with what we do with journalistic principles. There hasn’t been.” He added, “Honestly, we took it down because it was not part of the Bleacher Report brand. It wasn’t what our brand stands for” (SI.com, 3/12).

GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES: In Tampa, Tom Jones writes ESPN’s Adam Schefter “was definitely must-watch TV” as NFL free agency opened Thursday. Jones: “What was obnoxious, however, was ESPN's ‘Schefter Cam,’ a camera focused on Schefter as he worked the phones." Jones: "Maybe ESPN meant that to be funny, but it came off as big-mouthed. Whoever's idea this was needs to know that it's the kind of thing that adds to ESPN's bad reputation for self-promotion” (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 3/13).
