Coollang – which last year introduced sensors that are placed in badminton and tennis rackets and baseball bats – is incorporating sensors into wearable fitness gear like sports bras and running suits.
The sensors use motion-capturing and accelerator technology to monitor the wearer’s activities. In rackets, these devices enabled athletes to retrieve real-time insight into motion, speed and types of movements so that they could improve their form.
The wearable version helps athletes to record their heart rate as well as motion recognition.
