Mobile Safety Platform LiveSafe Kicks Off VenueNext Partnership With Levi’s Stadium Integration

In an effort to combat the rising tide of per-game arrests at NFL stadiums over the last five years, a mobile safety communications platform called LiveSafe is now working with football venues to improve the game day experience for fans.

LiveSafe recently announced that it partnered with VenueNext, a venue technology company changing the way consumers and fans experience a live event. The new relationship and integration of the mobile safety user experience starts with Levis Stadium.

LiveSafe’s safety and security feature — which is housed within the stadium app built by VenueNext — will provide fans the ability to anonymously report safety concerns and suspicious activity to Levi’s Stadium security in real-time. They’ll also be able to call upon medical assistance through the new mobile app feature and communicate via photo, video and audio.

LiveSafe’s goal is to help prevent incidents before they happen and by putting this technology in the hands of guests at VenueNext powered venues, security teams will be able to react quickly to issues,” LiveSafe CEO Carolyn Parent said in a statement. We’re thrilled to partner with an innovative company like VenueNext and provide safety and security solutions that make a difference.”

Added John Paul, CEO & Founder of VenueNext: “With this feature, we let the fans in the venue be the eyes and ears for security. The convenience of using a smartphone to ask for help is a game-changing way to open up communication on safety and security-related concerns. With LiveSafe, fans can feel confident that they have security officials at their fingertips in case of an emergency.”

Since LiveSafe offers Software as a Service (SaaS), apps like Levi’s Stadium can seamlessly integrate the security features natively. Additionally, LiveSafe’s functions are available to anyone with a VenueNext app.

“The safety and security of every visitor to Levi’s Stadium is the top priority for me and my team whenever we open the building,” said Jim Mercurio, San Francisco 49ers VP of Stadium Operations and General Manager. “It’s imperative that we take every precaution to keep our guests safe and LiveSafe provides another opportunity to empower our guests to report incidents quickly, with privacy and convenience.

LiveSafe is also working to keep WNBA players safe overseas. More than 60 WNBA players overseas have access to a dedicated LifeSave mobile security app as they compete in various countries like Russia, Turkey, China and others during the offseason months, according to the Associated Press. Through the app, players will have a direct line of communication to league officials, receive security alerts and additional safety information.

“This was a proactive effort to protect our players and secure their personal safety,” WNBA President Lisa Borders told the Associated Press. “Our partner in this endeavor is LiveSafe. It has multiple features and functionality. It’s a real-time way for our players to ask for help and receive help in dangerous situations or threatening environments.”
