Clemson AD Radakovich To Earn Nearly $5M Over Course Of New Six-Year Extension

Details of Clemson AD Dan Radakovich's new contract extension through the '21-22 school year are out, and he is set to earn $4.854M "over six years, or an average of $809,000 per season," according to Aaron Brenner of the Charleston POST & COURIER. Radakovich will earn $746,500 this season and his salary "will increase $25,000 each of the following five years." He will earn retention bonuses in August '19 and August '21 if he is still at Clemson. Radakovich also could earn a number of incentives "based on athletic, academic and financial success, including $30,000 if the football team makes the College Football Playoff or a New Year's Six bowl and $20,000 if the men's basketball team gets an NCAA Tournament berth." Radakovich's buyout is "one year's salary," while he would owe Clemson $125,000 "if he becomes another university's athletic director" (Charleston POST & COURIER, 11/23).
