Bills Sign Five-Year Extension With St. John Fisher College To Host Team's Training Camp

The Bills and St. John Fisher College yesterday announced a five-year extension of their partnership agreement for the school to host the team's training camp. The Bills have hosted training camp at the school in Pittsford, N.Y., since '00 (Bills). In Rochester, Lahman & Cleveland note a trend in recent years has been for NFL teams to "hold training camps at their own practice facilities or at their home stadiums." St. John Fisher College President Gerard Rooney said that the Bills are one of "just nine NFL teams that holds training camp on a college campus, and that he's pleased with the opportunity to continue hosting the team." At Fisher, the Bills "utilize air-conditioned dormitories, food service facilities and modern training facilities plus natural grass practice fields and an artificial turf field at Growney Stadium when needed." Rooney said that the school has "increased its regional visibility since the Bills came to campus" (ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, 10/5).
