Physio Web Coach Wants To Digitize The Physiotherapy Process

startup-seriesNew technology from startup ventures is transforming the global sports industry. The mission of this series is to introduce startup companies in the sports technology space to a broader audience and allow Founders of promising new ventures to tell their story and pitch their idea. Feel free to submit your startup’s answers to the below questions or contact us if you know of a startup that should be considered for inclusion in this series.

Company name: Physio Web Coach

Founder(s): Darren Finnegan

Headquarters: Dublin, Ireland

1. What is your elevator pitch?

Physio Web Coach (PWC) is bridging the gap between Pain and Performance. Healthcare is changing with the adoption of technology in sport more prevalent than ever. PWC is here to challenge the status quo of physio provision, providing initial diagnosis, management strategies and advanced level rehabilitation programs online or via phone. Practical, accessible and cost effective physiotherapy on your terms is our goal.

2. Problem & Solution

In our fast paced lifestyle, we want solutions to any aches or pains immediately specific to our needs. However, that involves making appointments with GP and physios with time wasted travelling to clinics at inconvenient times. This coupled with the fact, 85% of muscle and joint related conditions do not need to be seen by GPs (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists).  Physio Web Coach provides the solution, with individualized management plans, guidance on how to improve your symptoms with a tailored rehab program. This is all done at a time and venue convenient to your life on your terms.

3. Market – your target market and the overall market

Fit and active clients, 25-42 years young, who are willing to embrace the changing nature of technology and healthcare.

4. Business Model – how do you make money?

We charge less than half the price you would pay in clinic, eliminating the cost of your GP appointment as well. This is done via Paypal and an online diary booking system. PWC provides a 30min skype or phone call to listen to your problem and provide a solution.

5. Management Team – with titles

Darren Finnegan- CEO

Kathryn Finnegan- Secretary

6. What else do you want the audience to know about your venture?

For the month of September, we will be running a free online service to let those apprehensive about Online physio experience the future of healthcare.  Embrace change and let Physio Web Coach be the game changer in your health.
