Buyers & Sellers: NHL Kings' Doughty Buys $6M Pad; Lincecum's House On The Market

NHL Kings D DREW DOUGHTY is "buying a compound in Hermosa Beach" for $6M. The two-parcel property "includes a 1914 Craftsman-style house that is fronted by a white picket fence." Tax records show the home was previously "split into three housing units with a total of 10 bedrooms and five bathrooms in more than 3,900 square feet of space." A separate building with 360 square feet of space "sits adjacent to the main house" (LATIMES.com, 9/7). 

GOLD-MEDAL SALESMICHAEL PHELPS "quietly sold a semi-detached loft-style townhouse in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood for $960,000." Property records show the approximately 5,200-square-foot townhouse was "acquired via corporate entity" in February '12 for $1,030,00. The three-bedroom and 2.5-bathroom multi-level townhouse "offers a cavernous open-plan living/dining space with double-height ceiling, exposed brick walls, and hardwood floors" (VARIETY.com, 9/7)....U.S. skier BODE MILLER has "sold his 8,200-square foot home on 10 acres" in Coto de Caza, Calif., for $4.2M. The five-bedroom house was built in '10, and the Tuscan-inspired home is "set high atop Los Ranchos Estates, with 360-degree views stretching from the mountains to the Pacific Ocean." The home also features a "backyard beach volleyball court," and the grounds also can "accommodate a guest house, tennis court and horses" (OCREGISTER.com, 9/7).

HARDWOOD HOMES
: Heat G TYLER JOHNSON has put down $4.85M "on a mansion in" Pinecrest, Fla. The six-bedroom, Mediterranean-style home "comes equipped with an elevator, pool, four-car garage and high-tech security system," and a "basketball half-court is part of the property" (MIAMIHERALD.com, 8/31)....Former NBAer HEDO TURKOGLU "has sold his" 4,621-square foot Orlando-area home for $1.05M. The "four-bedroom, four-bath home near Lake Bessie along Isleworth Country Club Drive was bought by Turkoglu" in '05 for $1.83M (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/2).

HOME PLATES: Former two-time Cy Young Award winner TIM LINCECUM is "selling his home in Paradise Valley, Ariz.," for $3M. Lincecum "bought the house four years ago from" former MLBer KEVIN YOUNG for $3.4M. Sitting on three acres of desert grounds, the property includes a "lagoon-style swimming pool, two waterfall features and a Jacuzzi." It has a "total of four bedrooms and five full bathrooms in slightly more than 11,000 square feet" (LATIMES.com, 9/9)....Cardinals 2B KOLTEN WONG recently "purchased a Creve Coeur home" in St. Louis for $1.175M. The 4,494-square-foot home has "four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms," along with a "mirrored dry bar, a 'luxurious' master bathroom with a jacuzzi, a 'huge' great room and an exercise room" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/8).

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOWS: Hawaii football coach NICK ROLOVICH has "purchased an East Oahu home near the school for about" $1.3M. The 2,436-square-foot home that "occupies 6,919 square feet of land has a total assessed value of about" $1.26M (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/6).
