SportTechie Startup Profile Series: ScoreMore Unites The Brand, Fan And Team During Games

New technology from startup ventures is transforming the sports industry. The mission of this series is to introduce startup companies in the sports technology space to a broader audience and allow Founders of promising new ventures to tell their story. Feel free to submit your startup’s answers to the below questions or contact us if you know of a startup that should be considered for this series.

Company name: ScoreMore

Founder(s): Pam Furey

Headquarters: Chicago

1. What is your elevator pitch?

ScoreMore’s focus is to create the ultimate sports fan experience by having fans interact with each other regardless of location. Fans can play team trivia games against each other during the entirety of sporting events to win instant prizes and bid on once-in-a-lifetime live auction items, experiences and adventures that they’ve only dreamt of before now.

2. Problem & Solution

ScoreMore unites the brand, the fan and the team then cultivates the most memorable and engaging venue experience with solutions that bring passion, purpose and profit together.

ScoreMore is mobile software which provides real-time, interactive “fan engagement” and “sponsor advertising” solutions for both professional and collegiate sports teams. Unlike other available “fan experience” applications readily available, ScoreMore is the only application that has the capability to link sports fans – with each other and with the team. ScoreMore allows all fans to participate in these unforgettable experiences – no matter where they may be in the WORLD.

3. Market – your target market and the overall market

ScoreMore’s target market is both the sports team and the sports fan.  ScoreMore has the capability to help increase revenue for professional and collegiate sports teams while also engaging the sports fan to a level he’s never experienced before from a mobile application.

4. Business Model – how do you make money?

ScoreMore CEO, Pam Furey, used her passion for business and experience from her past accomplishments to create the innovative mobile application.  Customers have the option to utilize the software as a SaaS model, Revenue Share and/or Fee for Service.  Customers may also choose to embed ScoreMore’s solution into their own mobile software as browser-based, API integration or free-standing.

5. Management Team

Pam Furey (CEO), John Piazza (Partner/Advisor), Valery Gorodnichev (Chief Technology Advisor), Steve Reitman (Partner/Advisor)

6. What else do you want the audience to know about your venture?

For the past 25 years, Pam has managed and lead high potential ventures to positive outcomes for both shareholders and investors. Most notably was Pam’s involvement with VIN.net subsequently acquired by Concur/SAP (www.concur.com). A mere concept in 1994, it’s now a leading top 10 Software as a Service (SaaS) solution worldwide. Pam was a co-founder who helped revolutionize the financial services industry by automating and transforming the expense report process from 100% paper based to SaaS.  Former employees have described Pam as an “inspiration” as she believes nothing is impossible.

Version 1 of ScoreMore was developed and commercialized in 2012.  This mobile auction and revenue generating technology was used by the nonprofit sector to automate their fundraising activities and silent auction process.  After serving the fundraising activities of retired professional athletes, the company was inspired to create Version 2.

Version 2 incorporates the newest cloud-based tools and technologies and is entirely focused on the Sports & Entertainment industry.

In line with our ongoing development efforts to integrate new technologies into our product, Version 3 is already underway.  This new version will include many of the big trends the mobile market is embracing at a fast pace.
