Executive Transactions

Twitter "is losing another executive," as VP/North American Media KIRSTINE STEWART is leaving the company. Stewart "oversaw all of Twitter's media partnerships on the continent in TV, sports, gaming, talent, music, fashion, news and government." Her departure is "not a great sign for Twitter's media team more broadly, which has seen some dramatic changes" this year. Twitter's departures are also "not helpful" for a company "fighting to get all kinds of live video streaming rights from different media partners" (RECODE.net, 7/21). In an email last month announcing his departure from Twitter, former Dir of North American Sports Partnerships DANNY KEENS told clients that Stewart would be their "best point of contact until they find my replacement." Keens left to take a job as NextVR VP/Partnerships (John Ourand, Staff Writer).

EXECS: The Central Florida Sports Commission named former ECHL Orlando Solar Bears President & CEO JASON SIEGEL interim President & CEO. Siegel's appointment "fills the leadership seat vacated by JOHN BISIGNANO JR. in January" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/19)....The Coyotes named western professional scout DOUG SOETAERT AHL Tucson Roadrunners GM (Coyotes)....Architectural firm HOK promoted Senior VP & Marketing Principal LANCE CAGE to Managing Principal (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 7/22)....MLSE Dir of Communications JAMIE DEANS is leaving the company at the end of July after 12 years (THE DAILY)....The Blue Jackets promoted BECKY MAGAW to Dir of HR and MATT KILL to Ticket Operations Coordinator. The club also named CALEB HORSLEY Partnership Account Specialist and DARLA OWENS Blue Jackets Foundation Manager (Blue Jackets)....The Univ. of Tennessee named Univ. of Alabama Senior Associate AD & Dir of Compliance JONATHAN BOWLING Associate AD/Football Compliance & Administration. Bowling "takes over" for MATT HIBBS, who left the school to become Ohio State Assistant AD/Compliance (Knoxville NEWS SENTINEL, 7/22)....The Univ. of Iowa named Tulane Deputy AD & COO BARBARA BURKE Senior Associate AD/Sport Administration & Event Management (Iowa).
