RE/CODE's Ina Fried reported Getty Images "plans to really dive in" to 360-degree image capture at the Rio Games. Getty, the official photo agency of the event, "plans to equip each one of its photographers with a 360-degree camera in addition to their standard gear." The agency has "already partnered with Oculus to offer content for its devices and is also working with Google to provide 360-degree content for its Expeditions classroom effort, which allows students to travel virtually to places around the globe" (RECODE.net, 6/7).

GOLF VIEWERSHIP: The AP's Doug Ferguson noted Golf Channel's viewership for Oregon's playoff win over Texas in the NCAA Men’s Golf National Championship last week was "higher than all but four LPGA Tour live telecasts, and all of the PGA Tour Champions and Web.com Tour live telecasts" (AP, 6/7).
