In N.Y., David Li reports Mets Ps Jacob ­deGrom and Noah Syndergaard "are replacing" Matt Harvey as the new spokespeople for Axe hair products. Axe insisted that its switch to Harvey’s teammates "has nothing to do" with his recent struggles on the mound. It "wasn’t clear how much the duo will make from the ads" (N.Y. POST, 5/27).

TURNING A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE: The WALL STREET JOURNAL's Will Connors notes Airbnb's sponsorship of the Rio Games "is in danger of being overshadowed by a deep economic contraction, political turmoil and a health crisis currently rocking Brazil." Airbnb said that "instead of damaging its efforts," Brazil’s recession "is helping the company in a city with huge accommodation problems." Rio Organizing Committee CEO Sidney Levy during the signing of the sponsorship deal last year said that that Airbnb "would be crucial in helping the city overcome the 'major problem' of accommodation." Airbnb is betting that its sponsorship will "cement its status as a mainstream lodging option in its fourth-largest market" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 5/27).

CARPENTER BE: The Conrad Indianapolis hotel is teaming up with Ed Carpenter Racing for Sunday's Indianapolis 500. The luxury hotel's logo will adorn the nose of Carpenter's No. 20 car. Meanwhile, fans can view an exact duplicate of Josef Newgarden's No. 21 Preferred Freezer Service car in the hotel's lobby (ECR).
